Blogpost: The Blindfold

Ever wondered why some folks are usually blindfolded before a surprise? I know I haven’t but now that I think of it my guess is that, they probably do that to build their expectations of the surprise.

I had a beautiful moment with my dear sister today- (I want to specially feature her though she may not like it) and as she spoke she made a statement from the Good Book which I couldn’t help but think of writing a piece from. She said,

“Weeping endures for the night but joy comes in the morning.”

I don’t know how my mind wandered to the blindfolding of a person before a huge surprise but that’s what I thought.

What if everything the devil threw at you was his special role in prepping you for God’s huge surprise? I say huge because you know our Father is the Greatest Showman. For all you know in the devil’s attempt to ruin that surprise he actually preps you for it. This is how the Good Book says it,

“All things work together for the good of those who love Him…”

Romans

We may not understand the darkness that engulfs us like those blindfolds do but remember He’s with us, leading us to that place where He has purposed for our huge surprise.

It’s alright if you don’t see the way ahead of you. He knows it and He sees it and is leading you. And when you finally arrive where He promised you, you’d be grateful for that suspenseful experience and more so for that blindfold.
