Mercy there was great and grace was free. Pardon there was multiplied to me.
There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary.
William R. Newell
Ever needed a space where you could just air out all the junk and breathe a lot easier? That’s what this MFM is for. We live in a quite harsh world and though people might act like they don’t care, well, they do but just not ready to look like it. After all, it’s easier to leave your chores undone when you know you don’t have a mother who would be at your neck for it.
Mercy for messy has a single message: that there’s only one place any kind of messiness can be and that is God’s mercy. He’s the only one who can take Your Problems in messy pages of your story and make them a “message“. Oh and I love the play of words in that! But remember it is a message of healing and restoration and you’re going to find a good number of these “messages” here which I hope makes you not only feel a lot better but get a lot better as well. If perchance, after reading through some “messages” you want to share yours, kindly email thescrolla@gmail.com with your message and it’d be featured here too.
The “messages” you’re going to see here on this page are in the form of letters to God cos I figured it’s easier talking to God about your flaws than to any other. So I’m going to allow you sneak a peek at some of the letters I’ve written to God whenever I am in a messy situation. It’s always better to allow Him to take care of the mess.
It’s easy to feel ashamed and embarrassed of our messiness, but God’s mercy is bigger than our mess. We don’t have to hide or pretend to have it all together. We can bring our messiness to God and trust that He will meet us with grace and love.
And the amazing thing is that when we receive God’s mercy for our messy selves, we can extend that same mercy to others. We no longer have to judge or criticize others for their messiness because we know what it means to be in need of mercy ourselves.
So let’s embrace our messy selves and bring them to God. Let’s trust in His mercy and allow Him to transform our mess into a message. And let’s extend that same mercy to those around us. Because in the end, we’re all a little bit messy and in need of mercy.
