Right, Vayolet is here again with her funky names, lol. But this piece is for every lady who has been in that awkward position of liking someone and can’t seem to act her normal reserved way towards this love interest. If you’re the forward kinda girl, this is for you too cos I was once forward until I couldn’t keep up. If you’re still that way, you’re tough, I must give you that. I remember I used to justify my forwardness with Ruth in the Bible until I came to the realisation that only a Boaz would appreciate it. So if you’ve not found your Boaz yet, that’s ok, but sis, you need to protect your heart and that’s the reason for this.
The Bible doesn’t say guard your heart with all diligence for nothing. All diligence, not some and up until now, I’ve pretty much been careless. I used to also think that I was justified to throw my love about because the Bible says we should love each other. Now sis, if you’ll be honest, we all know that the love we often toss to our innocent Christian brothers is a little far from the one Jesus said we should have for them. I know you pray for them but we know the kind of prayers we pray. Don’t worry, I’m not going to open any keys. We’re here to help each other. You are here to help me “rant” and you’re here to hopefully find a sister in this brief moment of reading.
Today, as I thought about this complex and delicate issue about being in love or falling in love or having that little heart of yours race towards the “fleeing” brother in Christ, I saw an imagery of a big pan of pizza sliced thinly round about and this is just my own remedy for this situation. I have no bible verse to prove it but I have no bible verse to disprove it either. Perhaps the Scripture where God said, “Draw near to me and I will draw near to you” or the one David said, “Draw me, and I will run after you”. Either ways, I want you to insert your name at the parts you see “me” and “I” whenever you spot a love interest in the “kingdom”, lol. It’s not pride. And sometimes, our brothers can be ignorant or clueless but if the same Spirit works in us, talk to Him- the Holy Spirit and leave it there and at the same time, give out your heart like those thinly sliced pieces of pizzas. One at a time. Any “Spirit-led opportunity” you get. And for every piece of heart you give, let it be heavily loaded with the love of God, not yours, which He has abundantly given to you. I’m sure you get pissed when some slices of pizzas are loaded than others and you end up with the less stuffed ones. So make every piece of heart count aaaaannnddd… depending on the number of slices you get from him, you give same and still with the same quality as before to him- not more or less.
However, if you give out your slices and there’re no returns, that’s fine, just see it as one of those days and move on. Pizza Hut doesn’t shut down because a customer doesn’t show up in one day. Not at all. So keep “running”, but remember it’s only a fully loaded slice at a time. And if you run out of slices, go back to the Bread of Life to get you a new pan of pizza baked with love, and on “fire” to start again. You can never run out of pizza once you’re with Him because He’s the Bread of life and for life.
