Blogpost: Between Worlds

Guilty of love between two worlds.

Between worlds there hung a condemned man on a piece of wood, bruised and scourged all because he was guilty of love. Love he couldn’t help but have because that was His lifeblood.

His arms spread weakly connecting two worlds : His and mine but He didn’t have a place in any at least not yet, because He was rejected by both because of love.

And what is love that love should be labelled a crime punishable by death? Love is just as it sounds. Gentle, kind, meek and mild. Not loud, not proud but humble and pure. Not in the Yeses or the Nos but from the genuineness of the heart. The heart like that Man who hung on the cross like some criminal.

He lives today still loving on us from His world to ours through His love, the Spirit, which is shed abroad on us who have received His love.

So as you celebrate your anniversaries and your love, remember there’s a love too old to be given an age yet still as potent as the One who gives it- Jesus. He doesn’t need a day to especially tell you how much He loves you. He is the same yesterday who died for us, the same today who lives in us and the same forever who will be with us. He never found us worthless for traveling between worlds to save us, given the conditions he had to meet. And if that’s not love, I don’t know what that is.
